Market intelligence and demographic data can go a long way in informing the location, size and layout of branches. This data can also help decide how a branch should be specialized based on the located it is placed in. Customers of a metropolitan branch in the CBD will have different needs than students who visit a branch on a university campus or someone from a rural town who visits a branch.
